DOMESTIC OR INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION?
We use the services of transportation companies very often nowadays, and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship is no exception, where companies providing their services in this industry are in abundance. In fact, the best example of this is Szczecin itself, where we can find many such service providers.
Using them as an example, we decided to look at transportation not within the city or the entire province, but with our eyes reaching much further. For there is no denying that transportation in Szczecin is not the end of the story. Many companies provide their services throughout the country and even Europe or the world. So which type of transportation is more popular?
DOMESTIC TRANSPORT – THE NUMBER ONE CHOICE FOR TRANSPORTATION
If we consider here the information from one of the advertising sites, we can see that domestic transportation is the most popular, with as many as 59% of inquiries. This is followed by international transportation pertaining to exports with 17%, and further by car transportation with 10%. After that, we can still mention removals or international transport being imports, although the latter have a relatively small market share.
TRANSPORTATION TIME
We should also pay attention to the time of such transportation, which is also very important for any businessman. How, therefore, does the analysis look, taking into account this factor? Well, if we look at the implementation of such a service, most of the services are carried out within a week. Indeed, on average, as many as seven out of ten transportation services do not last longer than seven days.
What is also interesting, however, is that one-day transports and those lasting less than a day are popular. The former account for eighteen percent of all services. Transports carried out under twenty-four hours, on the other hand, account for fifteen percent of all services carried out in this sector.
HEAVY LOADS
Companies carrying out transportation in Szczecin also do not differ from the sector as a whole in terms of the weight of the cargo carried. Thus, the vast majority of transported goods are over 3.5 t. Such transportation concerns as much as 64% of all inquiries in the industry. This applies to both domestic and international transport.
So, as we can see, it is not only in Szczecin that domestic transport is definitely more popular, although it should not be forgotten that transport services on international routes are becoming more and more popular. The market share of such services has been growing for many years, and of course everything started after Poland’s accession to the European Union.
